rich Just read the Oct. Bits & Bytes. My wife, Marilyn & I were also in AC the weekend on Sept 9 and saw the same water show you did. The new pier is very nice, especially the view of the AC skyline from the end of the pier.

We got to Docks for a good seafood meal. We also helped out by making the casinos a little bit richer, as if they don’t have enough already.

We are looking foreword to the upcoming high school basketball season as out oldest granddaughter is one of the very best players in the state. She is a junior this year & has been contacted by colleges since her sophomore year. We expect to be in AC within the next few weeks and will try to remember to give a few people a call to say hello.

Block Block Block It’s always fun to go to Seattle to see the Grandkids and these two ‘big kids’.

Al Carlin, retired professor at the University of Washington, lives in Seattle. Lew & I try to see him and Ellen when we are there.

Ralph & Kristin Braunstein live on the Olympic Peninsula in Sequim, WA. Ralph is a deacon in the Anglican Church and will be ordained a priest sometime soon.

We were staying on Bainbridge Island for three weeks this past September. Ralph & Al met us for lunch. They had not seen each other for 50 + years.

Block green This was sent to me by Ron Green.

In the attached photo you will see me (Richard Block) with my favorite Hispanic woman, Lorena Ochoa, whose home is in Guadalajara, Mexico. It was taken on 11/15/06, her 25th birthday. Lorena is the 2006 Mexican Athlete of the Year. She is also the winner of six LPGA golf tournaments this year and $2.6 million. She was also voted the 2006 Rolex LPGA Player of the Year.

golf I was her Walking Scorer in May 2006 at the ShopRite LPGA tournament at the Marriott Seaview Country Club in Absecon, NJ as well as at the ADT LPGA tournament at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach this month. She is as sweet as can be. She talks to everyone and jokes with everyone between shots. She is as relaxed as can be. Every young girl should aspire to be as friendly, as nice and as successful as Lorena is when they grow up.

Dear Barry;

As usual thanks for keeping "us" alive with the website. What is new with our classmates? I l love hearing from you.

I am in Tampa, Florida teaching at an elementary school along with my daughter who is the resource teacher for English for Speakers of Other Languages. We are special because there are three generations at the school. Myself, my daughter, Maureen, and her daughter Alina who is in the 1st grade. How unique...wouldn't you say? We are featured in the school yearbook.
